I know I needed some calm around food decisions with my own lipoedema body. Before I knew what I was doing with food, it didn’t really matter what I tried because my lipoedema was progressing. I always knew food would be part of the solution, but with so much contradictory information out there I just felt stuck.
How I got Unstuck
I did what I always do and dug deeper into the science, did some research, trialed some protocols with some willing nutrition patients and found that invariably, lower carbohydrate and ketogenic diets worked really well for women with lipoedema.
Some women needed to go all the way to a ketogenic diet and some only needed to change the kinds of carbohydrates they were eating.
ALL of the women weren’t eating enough to lose body fat and feel energetic so that obviously needed to change.
And all of them needed to use an anti-inflammatory version of either keto or low carb, because ingredients matter!
